How to access and use Virtual Classroom Recordings

A Virtual Classroom is an integrated tool in Brightspace provided by Bongo.  It allows lecturers and students to engage with each other through live stream video. Virtual Classroom enables live lectures, provides an online environment for discussion, and group work.

This article will show you how to:

How to access and use Virtual Classroom Recordings

Navigate to your Course, in the green navigation bar,

  1.  Click Content
  2. Go to the module where the Virtual Classroom is located
  3. Click the Virtual Classroom Item (can have a different name, such as Lecture 3 - Topic)

If entering a Virtual Classroom for the first time, a pop-up window will appear granting permission

  1. Tick the box next to "Do not ask me again for this application"
  2. Click Continue 
Access Information-Click Continue

If the Recording meeting is scheduled and available,

  1. Click the Play icon to start viewing the recorded meeting

 When you start viewing the recorded meeting some functions will be available within your window

  1. [ ] icon Presentation - to go full-screen on the Presentation
  2. [ ] icon Video-Feed -  to go full-screen on the video-feed
  3. Chat-box - to send messages
  4. Paperclip icon - to open the attachment tab and access any attached files by the lecturer
  5. Slides - to forward the video to the next segment
