myWUR - description of tabs
Tab 1: Home Screen
myWUR gives you a clear overview of your day and what’s happening on campus. You will find:
- Your detailed, personal academic timetable, always up to date.
- Quick links to Brightspace and Osiris.
- Notifications about new announcements in Brightspace and Osiris.
- Campus news and upcoming events.
- Important updates and urgent notifications from WUR.
- Info page with useful links and practical information.
The home screen gives you an overview of your day on campus.
1. In the top-right corner you can see a notification bell, where you will receive alerts from Osiris about your study progress, announcements from Brightspace, and updates on your schedule from TimeEdit. Look at the numbered objects on the screenshot below.
2. At the top of the screen you can see the current and next scheduled item from your academic schedule. The colours denoting specific types of activities (lecture, practical, exam, etc) in the app match the colour coding present in TimeEdit for easier recognition. Clicking on an item will take you to its details. If you click on 'Go to full schedule' you will be taken to the Schedule tab.
3. Below, you can see the events taking place on campus today. If you click on 'Go to all events', you will be taken to Events tab.
4. Under the events, you will see the most recent news. You can view the latest news by swiping them horizontally. If you click on a selected item, you can read the whole article. Click on 'Go to all news' to see more recent news on the News tab.
5-6. Below the news section, you can see two buttons (see the the second screenshot):

- Brightspace (6)
These buttons take you directly to the Brightspace and Osiris applications. Brightspace is your learning environment, where you’ll find course materials, while Osiris is used for course enrolment and viewing your grades.
7. At the bottom of the screen, you will find five navigation icons:
- Home
- Schedule
- Events
- News
- Info
Tab 2: Schedule
Your daily class schedule is displayed in the Schedule tab. You can choose to view your academic activities by day, week, or month. When you click on an item, you will see more details such as time, location, group, and any additional comments.
Below you can see the schedule as viewed per day, week, and month, respectively:
Below is a view of a specific item with activity details. When you click on Navigate, a Google Maps page opens with directions to the location on campus.
Tab 3: News
News items appear under the News tab. All news is displayed in a single feed and is visible to all users. Clicking on a news item will take you to the full article.
Some news items may be marked as urgent. In that case, you will receive a push notification, and the item will be highlighted in green for better visibility.
Certain items may also be pinned to remain visible for a longer period or to indicate higher priority.
Tab 4: Events
The Events tab shows upcoming extracurricular activities (co-)organised by various WUR teams, student associations, and other student groups. By clicking on an event, you can view details such as the date, location, event description, and a link for registration or more information.
Events that are happening live on campus and are free walk-in events are marked with a red blinking dot on the app’s home page, so that anyone who wishes to join can still do so. See the screenshot below:

Tab 5: Info
The Info tab contains some quick go-to links and information:
- Link to the myWUR user manual on the Student Support website
- Contact information for reporting issues with the app
- Contact information for submitting feedback about myWUR
- Important campus addresses and visiting hours of educational buildings
- Privacy statement
